Setia EcoHill enhances township with R.E.A.L Kids

PETALING JAYA (Aug 25): S P Setia Bhd’s unit, Setia EcoHill Sdn Bhd, has inked an agreement with R.E.A.L Education Group Sdn Bhd to have its early childhood education provider R.E.A.L Kids set up a centre at Setia EcoHill in Semenyih.

The R.E.A.L. Kids centre, which will be able to take in 200 pre-school students, will be located at the township’s upcoming 360,000 sq ft clubhouse, known as Club 360°. This makes the centre the first anchor tenant for Club 360° as it will take up 10,000 sq ft of leased space when the clubhouse is ready in 2018.

At the signing ceremony today, S P Setia executive vice-president Tan Hon Lim said the move is to ensure the continuity of Setia EcoHill’s sustainability.

"With R.E.A.L Kids on board with us, it will complete Setia's 'Live, Learn, Work and Play' development philosophy at Setia EcoHill. We are on track to making Setia EcoHill a truly self-contained and sustainable township in every sense of the word," he said.

Meanwhile, president of R.E.A.L Education Group Ee Ching Wah said S P Setia’s signature feature of blending in nature’s beauty via the many creeks, waterways, meadows, parks and landscaped walkways that dot the township was a major factor in R.E.A.L Kids’ decision to set up a centre in the township.

Launched in 2013, Setia EcoHill spans 673 acres of freehold land in Semenyih where about 1,300 units of homes and 224 parcels of bungalow lands have already been completed and handed over last year.

Another 300 units are targeted to be handed over later this year. The development has a gross development value (GDV) of RM4 billion. 

In conjunction with the signing ceremony, there was also a preview of Club 360° located at the peak of the township.

According to S P Setia, the club will be a social catalyst to residents, offering a wide variety of activities to promote an active lifestyle to be enjoyed by residents of all ages. The club will be equipped with an Olympic-size swimming pool, wet and dry parks for children, gymnasium with three multi-use studios, four badminton courts and an international futsal arena.

On top of that, the clubhouse will also have an alluring dining venue at the roof level, offering patrons a 360° view of Setia EcoHill and beyond.
