KOTA BHARU (April 29): Malvest Group, the developer for Arika@Kubang Kerian, has inked strategic partnerships with main contractor YanJian Construction Group and three branded suppliers -- Sigma Malaysia for lift, Niro Ceramic Group for tiles and Koon Hoe & Company Sdn Bhd for Premtex Malaysia sanitary ware on Saturday (April 27).

Arika@Kubang Kerian is a 42-storey service apartment located 700m from USM Health Campus offering 668 fully furnished apartment units as well as 26 shop units.

According to a media release by Malvest, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will be opening a branch in Arika while several leading brands have also expressed their interest.

“Arika will be a redefining lifestyle project where more than 45 types of lifestyle facilities and even electric charging stations for EV cars are offered,” stated Malvest.

Malvest Group managing director Tan Kian Boon said he foundation work for Arika has been completed and YanJian Construction will start the main building construction work. The project will be completed in the third quarter of 2026.

“The quality of the project is our top priority where only well-known and high-quality contractors and suppliers are selected for Arika@Kubang Kerian,” added Tan.

Inspired by Malay traditional culture and Islamic motif in the architectural designs, Arika@Kubang Kerian is touted as the first of its kind fully furnished service residence in Kelantan “that will be the preferred choice for elite living”.

The development’s proximity to USM will provide staff and students a conducive accommodation that offers modern and high quality of living experience.

Arika@Kubang Kerian has achieved 60% take up rate and “is expected to create profound investment return to its purchasers once completed”, said Malvest Group.

Hilmi Abdullah, Kelantan State Exco of Local Government, Housing, Health and Environment, welcomed the Arika@Kubang Kerian project, saying “where it not only brought progress to Kelantan but also created job opportunities for the people of Kelantan”.

“It is in line with the State Government's planning to develop Kubang Kerian as Bandar Diraja Al-Humammadi,” he added.
