IJM staff

KUALA LUMPUR (April 5): IJM Corp Bhd announced a groundbreaking partnership with Facebook last Friday, to bring the business version of Facebook to its 4,600-odd employees across the group.

IJM is the first publicly listed company in Malaysia to introduce Facebook at Work among its employees.

IJM chief executive officer and managing director Datuk Soam Heng Choon in his launch message said that Facebook at Work is a similar platform to Facebook, which is in line with the group’s goal of enhancing the 3Cs — Connect, Communicate, Collaborate amid its five business divisions.

“We have found Facebook at Work fits into our requirement very well as it has the potential to bring people around the world closer,” said Soam. “It is very easy to pick up because many people are already using it daily in their personal lives and is completely separate from the consumer Facebook service.”

IJM launched Facebook at Work for all its 4,600 employees on March 7.
