KUALA LUMPUR (Apr 23): Avaland Bhd collaborated with six eco-conscious companies or known as “green partners” at its “Collaboration for Sustainability” event yesterday in conjunction with International Mother Earth Day 2024.

“We are proud to partner with organisations like Duravit Asia Limited, Grohe Malaysia, Guocera, Panasonic Malaysia, Signature Cabinet and Toshiba Elevator, all advocates in their respective fields who share Avaland's mission for a sustainable future,” said Avaland Chief Operating Officer Aw Sei Cheh in his welcoming speech.

These partnerships prioritise water and energy-saving technologies, utilise green materials, and promote clean air through eco-friendly practices for sustainable homes, in line with Avaland’s latest efforts to reduce its ecological footprint and promote responsible practices across its supply chain.

“Our efforts to green our supply chain, spanning from sourcing to implementing eco-certified and energy-efficient processes, underscore our steadfast commitment to environmental responsibility.

“Embracing this global initiative, we warmly invite all stakeholders to join us in leading industry-wide change and shaping a more sustainable future, which will be part of our footprint for generations to come,” he added.

Aw told EdgeProp that this collaboration started with the homebuyers’ interest in mind when drafting Avaland’s green plan. Through this partnership with international players that specialise in green technologies and materials, the developer discovered that many of the green building requirements could be met through the partners’ product range. Avaland then quantified everything to demonstrate its commitment and ensure transparency to the buyers.

Additionally, he mentioned to the property portal that these green initiatives will be applied to all Avaland’s projects, tailored to the green building ratings of the products it offers. This approach makes it sustainable for both the developer and the buyers.

The event also revealed Avaland’s two projects from the AETAS series (Aetas Damansara and Aetas Seputeh), which have achieved the highest level of platinum certification, while its other ongoing projects (Alira Subang Jaya, Alora Residences, Sanderling, Anja Residences & Signature Retail and Casa Embun) have been certified as green buildings by GreenRE.

Avaland Bhd is one of EdgeProp START’s strategic partners. Sanderling, Alira Subang Jaya, Casa Embun, Alora Residences and Amika Residences are developments highlighted in this partnership. All Avaland homebuyers also get to enjoy rewards worth up to RM18,888.
