• INFINITY8 will have a total of 13 coworking spaces in the country by the end of this year.

KUALA LUMPUR (March 14): Coworking space provider INFINITY8 will be opening its latest outlet in Penang in the third quarter this year. This roughly 25,000 sq ft space will be located within a 150-year-old building and will be its first outlet in the northern part of Peninsular Malaysia.

“The company’s maiden venture into north Malaysia comes equipped with multiple features including state-of-the-art meeting rooms and cutting-edge infrastructure, positioning it as an innovation hub that will set new standards in coworking design and capabilities in Malaysia,” it said in a statement dated March 13.

In addition to Penang, it will also be opening three other outlets this year, one in Kuala Lumpur (23,000 sq ft/4Q opening), and two in Johor [one is 11,000 sq ft (2Q opening) and another is 10,000 sq ft (4Q opening)]. Further details are forthcoming.

Targeting SMEs and start-up companies, INFINITY8 will also be venturing into full-suite corporate services, such as recruitment, employer of record, HR payroll, as well as workspace and enterprise office solutions.

INFINITY8 co-founder and CEO Lee Sheah Liang said: “We know that the businesses of today are simply built differently than they were just a few years ago. Agility and speed are at an utmost premium. To succeed nowadays, businesses must be hyper-focused on their core functionalities — iterating and innovating at speed to stay ahead of the market. This can sometimes mean that newer businesses don’t have the resources for some of the backend or peripheral tasks that need to get done. This is where our full-suite of services come into play to support businesses.”

With the additional four outlets, INFINITY8 will have a total of 13 coworking spaces in the country by the end of this year.
