According to the developer via a press release on Tuesday, the existing property is a luxury condominium with a gross development value (GDV) of RM820 million.

Via the statement, I-Bhd chairman Tan Sri Lim Kim Hong said: “This is yet another significant leap forward for I-Bhd, and we are thrilled to join hands with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to transform Wyndham Suites KLCC.

"This will not only enhance the group’s overall brand reputation and visibility, [as] Wyndham’s vast global network will also provide a powerful platform for our RM10 billion GDV project in i-City, Shah Alam, to gain greater international exposure."

Lim added that Wyndham Suites KLCC will attract families, business travellers and holidaymakers globally to Kuala Lumpur through the Wyndham Rewards loyalty programme with over 103 million members globally.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Asia-Pacific president Ooi Joon Aun said: “With the strong recovery of business and leisure travel across Asia-Pacific, Malaysia continues to be a popular destination for business and leisure travellers. We are delighted to partner with I-Bhd for this esteemed project.
