KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 25): More than 200 TVB artistes had to be screened for Covid-19 after one of them, Edwin Siu, had a close contact with a positive case, The Star reported today.
According to the report, Siu came into contact with a restaurant staff who later was detected as Covid-19 positive while filming for a show on Nov 18.
The next day, Siu attended the TVB Anniversary Gala with another 205 artistes. All the latter had to go for swab tests and it was found they were negative for Covid-19, said the report.
Siu has been under self-quarantine since Nov 24 after getting the news about the infected restaurant staff.
He also announced on the same day that screening has so far shown him as being Covid-19 negative.
Meanwhile, the same report revealed that TVB has been criticised for not asking the artistes to practise physical distancing at the TVB Anniversary Gala show. It was also reported that only “Moses Chan was spotted wearing a mask”.
