PETALING JAYA (May 17): Mah Sing Group Bhd’s The Loft @ Southbay in Bayan Lepas, Penang is on track for completion by the end of this year.

In a statement today, Mah Sing said the project is currently at 60% completion with external painting in progress.

The developer had held a topping-up ceremony for The Loft @ Southbay on Monday, May 16. The event was graced by Penang State Exco Datuk Abdul Malik Kassim, Mah Sing chief executive officer Datuk Ho Hon Sang and senior chief operating officer (northern region) Seth Lim.

“Over the years, we have seen Penang’s growth and we believe it will continue to do well, as many buyers and investors are confident with the state’s potential,” said Ho.

The 33-acre Southbay City township consists of residential and commercial developments located along the scenic Jalan Permatang Damar Laut, and is 1km away from Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge (second bridge).

The Loft is a low-density residential development comprising 157 luxury suites housed in two 30-storey towers. The built-ups for the units range from 1,378 sq ft to 1,680 sq ft.

According to the developer, there will be three units on each level, and residents get to enjoy the panoramic views of the island’s southeastern waterfront and cityscape. Selected units will also come with private gardens.

Facilities at The Loft include a three-tiered pool, seating decks to pavilions, reading lounge and sky gym. There is also a sky bridge that offers sea views from the viewing deck.

Moving forward, Mah Sing said it will be previewing its latest residential development in Southbay City soon. The project known as M Bay is the third phase of the township where it will comprise a single tower with 237 homes. Indicative prices start from RM330,000.
