PETALING JAYA (March 17): Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today with the University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) in a collaboration to provide accommodation for the university’s students at the developer’s Eco Nest serviced apartments in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

EcoWorld president and CEO Datuk Chang Khim Wah said the developer is excited to be working on this new collaboration with the university to provide student accommodation.

Located at the 270-acre Eco Botanic township, Eco Nest is a Green Mark certified serviced apartment project which offers full-fledged condominium facilities that include an indoor badminton court, gym, swimming pool, gourmet kitchen and sky garden.

The serviced apartments offer units in various built-ups starting from 582 sq ft and prices from RM550,000 as well as duplex units that are 1,238 sq ft and priced from RM1,069,000.

Located in the heart of Iskandar Puteri, Eco Nest is a convenient location not only for UoRM but EduCity as a whole, said the developer.

“With EduCity flourishing as Iskandar Malaysia’s education hub and a reputable university like UoRM playing a crucial role in its development, it will be an exciting time for our township of Eco Botanic and the surrounding area to grow in tandem with EduCity,” said Chang.

Eco Nest is situated in Eco Botanic’s commercial centre surrounded by Eco Boulevard shopoffices and high street mall Eco Galleria.

“All these components coming together will not only benefit the residents but the commercial owners as well. It is truly a holistic living environment for all,” he added.

In addition, the developer is also excited to have the opportunity to be able to extend the expertise of Team EcoWorld to benefit students taking up courses related to property development.

This strategic MoU follows the launch of EcoWorld’s “My Happy Place” campaign across the three regions of Klang Valley, Penang and Iskandar Malaysia last weekend. The three-month long campaign features various activities and events at all EcoWorld Galleries and are open to residents, purchasers and the public.
