PACIFICITY Shopping Mall

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 17):  The soon-to-be-open PACIFICITY Shopping Mall in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah will have Harvey Norman as one of its anchor tenants.

According to a press statement by the mall’s developer, Pacific Sanctuary Holdings, Australia-based consumer electrical products retailer Harvey Norman will take up 43,000 sq ft of retail space spread over two levels in the mall. It is its first venture into the East Malaysia market.

Both parties held a signing ceremony today, witnessed by the Kota Kinabalu Mayor Datuk Yeo Boon Hai.

The mall is part of PACIFICITY, a 25-acre mixed development located along the coastal highway of scenic Likas Bay. It comprises residences, signature offices, luxury hotels and the mall. The whole development will be completed by 2020.

The four-level PACIFICITY Shopping Mall has a total retail space of 620,000 sq ft and 2,500 parking bays. The first phase will be completed by end-2018.

“PACIFICITY as an integrated lifestyle hub upholds a strong emphasis on creating a retail and entertainment destination. We are proud to be working with an established international retail brand name like Harvey Norman,” said Pacific Sanctuary executive director KP Kuok.

Other anchor tenants of the mall will be TGV Cinemas’ IMAX® and Everrise Supermarket.
