PETALING JAYA (Jan 23): Winners of the “Setia Back to No 1” contest were announced last Saturday (Jan 21) during S P Setia’s Perfect reunion CNY 2017 celebration at Setia City Convention Centre, Shah Alam.

S P Setia launched the Setia Back to No 1 contest in conjunction with the developer returning to the top spot last year in The Edge Malaysia Top Property Developers’ Awards.

All S P Setia property purchasers who signed sale and purchase agreements in 2016 were allowed to take part in the contest to win luxury cruise trips to Asia and Europe, return trips to London’s Annual Chelsea Flower Show and a grand prize of a London Battersea Power Station Apartment worth £400,000 (RM2.2 million).

“I am exhilarated with my win,” Louis Tan Xin Wei said upon winning the grand prize. “I am still reeling from my good fortune and would like to thank Setia for giving me a chance to own a piece of London. It is really a dream come true for my family and me”.

When asked about what he thought about the Citizen Setia programme, Tan said it is a fantastic programme to reward purchasers with such exclusive experiences.

Alice Dora Bouchor, one of the winners for the Chelsea Flower Show remarked “I am lucky to buy a Setia home”, when she was called on stage to receive her prize.

Another 12 prizes were presented to other winners from Penang, the Klang Valley and Johor during the draw.

Meanwhile, the Perfect Reunion CNY 2017 celebration at Setia City Convention Centre, Shah Alam was the biggest, attracting close to 4,000 guests.

Earlier Perfect Reunion CNY 2017 celebrations were also held in Penang and Johor in the previous two weekends.

The event started with an acrobatic lion dance performance by the Kun Seng Keng Dragon and Lion Dance Association from Muar, Johor, who held the world lion dance champion title twice.

Astro celebrities were also present including MyFM DJs Emely Poon and Ngan Mei Yan, who were the emcees for the event. Geraldine Gan, Danny Koo, Nicole, Apple, Sharon and Winnie also performed.

Special activities at the event included paper flower making, rooster origami making, tarot card reading, chinese paper art cutting, rainbow calligraphy, dough doll-making, fortune telling and caricature drawings.

S P Setia’s CNY celebrations will continue with a Chinese New Year Open House for the public and purchasers on Feb 11 at its sales galleries located in the Klang Valley, Penang and Johor.
