Diamond City

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 16): Country Garden Properties (M) Sdn Bhd’s  Diamond City in Semenyih, Selangor, has seen 70% of the units in phase two taken up since its launch in April last year.

“The 158-acre phase two development which was partially launched last year comprises 228 units of double-storey terraced houses with built-up sizes ranging from 1,862 to 2,443 sq ft,” said Country Garden Diamond City joint venture managing director Chai Keng Wai in a statement recently.

The selling price for phase two starts from RM600,000 and is slated to be completed by 2019.

The 258-acre Diamond City is a joint-venture project between Country Garden Properties and Malaysia Land Properties Sdn Bhd (Mayland). Country Garden Properties is a unit of Guangzhou-based Country Garden Holdings Co Ltd.

Country Garden’s first project in Malaysia was Country Garden Danga Bay in Johor Bahru. Diamond City is its second project followed by Forest City in Johor.

Units in phase one of Diamond City have been completed and are in the process of being handed  over to their new owners since Jan 7, six months ahead of its scheduled handover date.

“About 90% of the units in phase one [in Diamond City] have been taken up since their launch in 2014,” Chai said.

The 100-acre phase one comprises 418 houses, made up of 113 linked homes with built-ups ranging from 2,385 to 2,650 sq ft and 305 bungalows with built-up sizes ranging between 3,333 and 8,681 sq ft.

The price for the linked houses is from RM750,000 onwards while the bungalows have a minimum selling price of RM1.4 million.

The development features a 57,000 sq ft clubhouse equipped with facilities such as theatre room, bowling alley, swimming pool and gym.
