Setia’s Perfect Reunion CNY 2017 heads to Johor

JOHOR BAHRU (Jan 16): S P Setia’s Perfect Reunion CNY 2017 celebration with Astro continued down south at its Setia Tropika Welcome Centre in Johor Bahru last Saturday with Astro celebrities making their appearance to welcome guests who joined in the celebration.

The event kicked off with the much anticipated acrobatic lion dance performances while Astro celebrities who were present included MyFM DJs Emely Poon and Wayne Phoo who were the emcees for the event.

Setia’s Chinese New Year theme for this year is ‘家圆人圆’ which means a home is made complete when all family members reunite. Besides the events planned, special Setia limited edition Ang Pows were given away to the guests by the fun-loving God of Prosperity.

Other celebrities present at the event included Geraldine Gan, Danny Koo, Uriah, Beta, Yoke, Freddie and Miao Miao Group who belted out songs including “大盛年”，“圆满团圆饭”，“大手牵小手”，and “一个人的冒险”.

Guests were also entertained by various activities on stage including eating honeycomb biscuits “蜜蜂饼” tied to a customised headgear, lip-reading, moving beverage cans with a pair of giant chopsticks and many more.

Off the stage, special activities arranged for the event included rainbow calligraphy, dough dollmaking, fortune telling and caricature drawings. Many were seen queuing up to enjoy these activities throughout the event. There were also Setia staff at the event giving out winter melon candy, honey maltose sweets and candied haw on a stick; all traditional Chinese culture candies enjoyed by all.

Setia also teamed up with Astro to produce limited edition plush toys which were given away to six lucky activities grand prize winners.
