Kahang

Overview

Kahang is a town located about 36 km from the Kluang district of the state of Johor. It is well known as the final stop for travelers heading to the Endau Rompin National Park which is connected by a long stretch of dirt road. The Endau Rompin National Park is approximately two hours away from Kahang.

The Kahang Dam which is estimated to be ready by May 2017 is currently under construction. This 860 hectare-wide project is situated near Felda Kahang Timur. Kahang is also host to an organic rice farm which spans over 260 acres of rice farming land.

Kahang’s borders are shared with that of the Mersing district, as well as its very own district, Kluang. As such, despite it being a rather small town, Kahang is within proximity of retail, food and education establishments in Kluang.
